Cafe serving drinks, snacks & ice cream. Large terrace overlooking the beach.
Porth Oer is better know to visitors as Whistling Sands as the sands do whistle underfoot because of the texture of the grains. Porth Oer is a sheltered sandy bay with good bathing.

Once a communal kitchen where 13th century pilgrims could claim a meal on their way to Bardsey Island. Latter day pilgrims are assured a warm welcome. Specialities now include homemade cakes & scones, served with fresh cream, and locally caught crab & lobster to eat in or take away. Parties can be catered for by prior arrangement.
We can seat 52 inside and there is an outside terrace and an attractive riverside area.
Dogs are welcome in the terrace areas. Open Easter to end October.
