The East Wing of a Grade 2 listed historic Hall, 5 minutes from Aberdaron, on a 500 acre working beef and sheep farm. The Hall dates back to the mid 14th Century, and has retained many of it's original features, including wooden panelling, open beams, original slate floors and leaded windows. Folklore tells a story of Huw Andro, a local character that smuggled salt, (then a precious commodity) from the beach at Aberdaron to Bodwrdda along a tunnel which lead all the way to the cellar. The property stands in a large enclosed garden with parking for two or more cars. The owners reside in the West Wing of the house, and as this is a working farm, visitors are welcome to observe farming activities or feed some of the animals by prior arrangement.
The accommodation consists of:
Three bedrooms. 1. A double with the option of a cot. 2. A double room. 3. Bedroom for three with bunk beds and an additional single bed. Large spacious bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle.
“ Dairy” – a brand new fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, microwave, retro fridge freezer, dining table, original slate floor, and the stone stairs to the ancient cellar!
“Neuadd”(The old hall)- A cosy newly furnished living room with TV and DVD player, fire place and original wood panelling.
“The Parlour” - A more formal sitting room with open fire, original window seats and wood panelling.
Bed linen can be provided at an additional charge. The house is centrally heated and offers a Wi-Fi broadband connection.
Friday to Friday lets.
A fantastic opportunity to stay in a beautiful historic home, situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the tip of the Llyn Peninsula.
